Bio
At the age of one I received, from my grandfather, my first record player,  and a stack of 45s. “Once my grandfather found that I loved records so much, he bought me a new player almost every year.”  That short stack has since, turned into wall of vinyl and CDs over thirty feet, floor to ceiling. (“Not to mention the two hard drives full of waves and mp3's.”)

My love of music led me to a degree in piano and jazz composition at the University Of Southern Mississippi. “I still enjoy playing the piano, everything from Ragtime to Classics.”  Following my education, I moved to Madrid, Spain, where for the next three years, I played piano in jazz and funk bands. Returning to the United States and settling in South Florida, I  pursued a music career performing on keyboards in a ten piece disco show band.
After hours I could be found hanging out on the dance floors of such DJ legends as Danny Tenaglia, Buc, Peter Stout, Abel and Doug Bryson. “ Mad Respect to All creative DJs.”

I was so moved by the sounds emanating from those turntables, that I bought my own gear and honed my skills playing house parties. It wasn’t long, that I accepted my first residency, at the renowned Marlin Beach Hotel. Never looking back, other notorious residencies followed at The Stud,  The Edge, and Diamante. I have been blessed with many great events along the way and have moved the masses at incredible parties such as “Renaissance” at Viscaya, “Summer Splash” at Seaworld;  at Klub Kaos (opening for Crystal Method,) and at the Delano Hotel (spinning along side with Armand Van Helden.) My sound has been heard at celebrated South Florida clubs including Liquid, Twist, Salvation and Warsaw Ballroom. And I'll never forget the legendary events such as the “Mineshaft” party during Miami’s Winter party, and the “Leather Masked Ball” and “Muscle Beach” for Miami’s White party.

Currently, I am in residence at the Ramrod in Fort Lauderdale, and one of the favored spin-miesters to the muscled and leather glitterati of South Florida. I am continuing to explore and create music, using the new cyber tools available. My energies have guided me into the production of dance music, and I am using Ableton Live to create my own originals and remixes.

I will always bring an uplifting, positive message to my crowd. Usually with a sexy beat,(w). So try to think soulful, groovy bass line driven house music, meets, hard, head bobbin’, electronic, progressive, tribal energy; "If you need a label," and you might have a handle on my music.

It’s called the Herbicidal Sexualness!  And I hope you get to Xperience it on a floor near you soon.

Love all around,
Herbie
